1. THE ORGANISATION

The Ghana Charismatic Bishops’ Conference is a powerful body made up of Bishops of several different charismatic denominations in Ghana. Today, its membership is made up of over 100 bishops located in every region of Ghana.

A Bishop is a most senior and revered person among the clergy and is an overseer of several churches. Consequently, 4000 churches yield to the authority of this powerful conference. The Ghana Charismatic Bishops’ Conference has a widespread influence in Ghana and holds sway over no less than 1 million Ghanaian Christians.

2. THE OBJECTIVES

  • The Bible asks that we pray for all men in authority so that we may lead a quiet and peaceful life. The Ghana Charismatic Bishops’ Conference provides prayers for the leader s of the nation, believing that this allows us to fully practice our Christian faith, and for the nation to attain our full place in God.
  • The Ghana Charismatic Bishops Conference is persuaded that God directs his people prophetically. Prophetic directions produce fantastic turn-arounds, and promotions. By prophetic directions, the Ghana Charismatic Bishops Conference provides the ideas that will provide a transformation in Ghana, socially, politically, and economically.
  • The Ghana Charismatic Bishops Conference uses the wide and varied experiences of its Bishops drawn from many professional backgrounds to analyse and speak on national issues, providing further light on matters of great national importance.

3. WHAT WE BELIEVE IN

BIBLE

We believe the Bible to be inspired, the only infallible, authoritative Word of God.

TRINITY

We believe that there is one God, and one God has three appearances as in The Father, The Son and The Holy Spirit to Humankind.

DEITY JESUS CHRIST

We believe in the deity of our Lord Jesus Christ, in His virgin birth, in His sinless life, in His miracles, in His vicarious and atoning death through His shed blood, in His bodily resurrection, in His ascension to the right hand of the Father and in His personal return in power and glory.

SALVATION

We believe that for the salvation of lost and sinful man, regeneration by the Holy Spirit through faith in Jesus Christ is absolutely essential.

HOLY SPIRIT BAPTISM

We believe in the baptism in the Holy Spirit with the evidence of speaking in other tongues as the Spirit gives utterance according to Acts 2:4, and in the operation of the spiritual gifts and ministries.

MINISTRY OF THE HOLY SPIRIT

We believe in the ministry of the Holy Spirit by whose indwelling the Christian is enabled to live a Godly life.

RESURRECTION

We believe in the resurrection of both the saved and the lost; they that are saved to eternal life and they that are lost unto the resurrection of damnation

CHURCH OF JESUS

We believe in the church of Jesus Christ and in the unity of believers.

4. CHRISTIAN FAITH

We believe in the practical application of the Christian faith in everyday experience and in the need to minister to people in every area of life, which includes not only the spiritual but also the social, political and physical.
